How do I start using AI in my business in the UAE?
Start with one job your team repeats every week, not a company-wide strategy. A job is ready for AI when it has a clear trigger, an input and an output, and a person who will own it. This is about the company you already run; setting up a new AI company is a licensing question for a business setup adviser.

What does an AI consultant actually do?
An AI consultant decides what your company should give to AI first, and what that will take to run. In practice that means mapping the work in each department, checking which systems can connect, ranking the use cases and writing a business case for each.
The useful ones have built what they recommend. Avoid firms that offer only slide decks, and ask to see working agents they have deployed. What does an AI readiness assessment cover?
An AI readiness assessment covers the jobs, systems, data rules and running costs in each department, and ends with a leadership workshop and a prioritised roadmap. Ours, the paid first step of enterprise AI consulting, is the Enterprise AI Assessment: 10 working days, up to five departments, AED 15,000 plus VAT (AED 15,750 including VAT). For each use case, the roadmap sets out:
- the job, as a trigger, data sources, steps, an approval point and an output
- each system involved, and how it connects
- what runs alone, what needs a person and what needs a director
- a monthly running cost: model usage, software, hosting and messaging fees
- the package that fits, and its price
- the data rules that apply: Federal Decree-Law 45 of 2021 (the PDPL), or DIFC or ADGM rules, and any sector rules
Go ahead with Enterprise AI Deployment within 60 days and the fee is credited against your Enterprise fee. One company with a few workflows does not need the assessment: a scoping call and a written proposal by day 3 are enough to start.

How much does an AI consultant cost in Dubai?
Figures quoted in Google's AI answers put an AI readiness assessment at about AED 15,000 to 35,000 and a fractional Chief AI Officer at AED 20,000 to 60,000 a month. The Enterprise AI Assessment is a fixed AED 15,000 plus VAT (AED 15,750 including VAT), credited against your Enterprise fee if you go ahead within 60 days. None of these is billed by the hour.
The build that follows a roadmap is a separate cost. Published UAE offers run from about AED 6,000 to 40,000 for connected workflows, and published ranges from AED 120,000 to 700,000 for production custom applications. A good assessment tells you which of those you need, or that you need neither.

Questions about AI consulting in the UAE
How much do AI consultants charge per hour?
The UAE offers we reviewed in November 2026 price AI consulting per piece of work rather than per hour, so hourly quotes are hard to compare. The nearest published figure is for local AI developers: about AED 150 to 450 an hour, with the most senior at the top (a People also ask answer on Google, 5 November 2026). Our assessment is a fixed fee, and the report that comes before it is free.
What is an AI consultancy?
A firm that works out where AI fits in your business, what it will cost to run and how to put it in place. Some stop at advice. We also build what we recommend.
Which department should start with AI first?
The one with a job that repeats every week, has one clear owner and costs money when it runs late. For most companies that means sales follow-up, WhatsApp replies or overdue invoices. Choose by those tests rather than by who asks the loudest.
How much data do we need before using AI?
Less than most companies expect, because these systems read your records and approved answers rather than train a new model. What counts is that the records are current. A stale price list will break a workflow long before a small data set does.
Do we need new software first?
Usually not. The assessment takes each system as it stands and marks it as a live connection, a scheduled export or no usable connection yet. Replace something only if the roadmap shows it blocks a use case worth doing.
Will AI replace staff in our company?
Some tasks will move; most jobs will not. The roadmap marks every step as one that runs alone, needs a person or needs a director, so you can see which work moves and who keeps each decision. Plan what your people will do with that time before rollout, not after.
How do we know if an AI project is working?
Agree the measure before the build starts. Accuracy, response time and monthly running cost go into the acceptance tests, so the result is a number rather than an opinion. After go-live, hours saved on the job is the figure to watch.
Is AI legal in the UAE?
Yes. UAE companies can use AI; the rules attach to what it does. Personal data falls under Federal Decree-Law 45 of 2021, or DIFC or ADGM rules where they apply. Marketing calls fall under Cabinet Resolution 56 of 2024, and some data, such as health data, must stay in the UAE. Check your sector's own rules too; this is a guide, not legal advice.
What is the difference between AI consulting and AI implementation?
Consulting decides what to build and in what order. Implementation builds it: agents configured, systems connected, workflows tested with your examples and your team trained. We do both, and the roadmap is yours either way.
Do we need an assessment before buying a package?
Not for a single company. For our first three packages, a scoping call on day 1 and a written proposal with the validated scope by day 3 are enough to start, because there are fewer systems and owners to map. The assessment is for organisations with several departments or entities.
